Estuarine Village Resort, located in the vicinity of Bhitarkanika National Park, is some 165km from Bhubaneswar via National Highway (Via Cuttack and Chandikhole) or around 146km via State Highway (Via Cuttack and Salepur). Travel time between Bhubaneswar and Estuarine Village Resort Bhitarkanika is usually around 3.5 hours.
Since the last leg of around 30km of the route crosses through villages, it is advisable to remain in touch with the contact person at the resort for proper guidance. Please keep in mind we are located around 4km from Khola Gate on the banks of River Brahmani on the road which goes towards Nalitapatia Village from Khola.
Some of the guests coming from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack or Paradeep sometimes make a mistake at a junction in Rajnagar and they go towards Gupti Gate of Bhitarkanika instead of coming towards Khola Gate. Please make sure you do not go towards Gupti Gate of Bhitarkanika from Rajnagar. Your destiny is towards Khola Gate. It is also easy to use navigation on Google Maps to get the right direction.
While coming from Kolkata, you have to first reach Bhadrak using the National Highway which goes towards Chennai. From Bhadrak take a left to go towards Chandbali. Pass through Chandbali and Raj Kanika to reach Pattamundai. From Pattamundai take left to go towards Rajnagar. From Rajnagar take left to go towards Khola gate. The resort is around 4km beyond Khola Gate on the road which runs parallel to the river and goes towards Nalitapatia Village. The resort is by the side of the river.
You can always use GPS to get the right direction. The only precaution for those coming from Kolkata side while using GPS is not to go towards Jaynagar Ghat from Raj Kanika which comes a little after Chandbali. You have to compulsorily go towards Pattamundai.
Those coming from Bhadrak can call the resort and ask the manager to arrange a pick up from Bhadrak Railway Station.
